Innovative Bridge

Testing took place in December 2008 on research evaluating whether materials such as Nickel-Titanium alloys, polyvinyl fibers mixed with cement, and rubber materials in bridge columns can be used to prevent damage and avoid bridge closure even when there is a strong earthquake.
